For most of Moreland's history a Suffolk contractor with a blown hose had a choice between driving into Nassau or waiting on a supplier. Oakdale exists to remove that choice, and at fifteen thousand square feet it is the larger of the two shops by some margin.
It runs the same equipment and holds the same capability as Hempstead. Crimping machines, cut-off saws, calibrated tooling and a wall of fittings. Nothing here gets sent west to be finished and nothing waits overnight for a van between locations.
What it has that Hempstead does not is the waterfront. Sunrise Highway puts it close to the south shore marinas and boatyards, and marine work runs through this counter as a genuine part of the year rather than an occasional job. Steering assemblies, USCG rated fuel hose, exhaust and fill, and stainless fittings that survive the environment.
The rest of the trade is Suffolk itself. Municipal fleets, environmental services, vac and sweeper trucks, construction and dewatering, plus the automotive and performance work that comes with a shop this size.

Marinas and boatyards
Sunrise Highway puts this shop within easy reach of the south shore, and marine work is a steady part of its season rather than an occasional job. Hydraulic steering assemblies are the most common thing through the door, followed by fuel line where the marking on the old hose has worn away and somebody needs it read before a survey.

Straight off Route 27
The shop sits directly on Sunrise Highway, which means you come off and you are there rather than working through side streets with a truck. That matters more than it sounds when you are driving something large with a failed line on the back.
Coming from the west it is a straight run out of Nassau on Sunrise or the Southern State. From the east, Sunrise takes you the whole way in. The Connetquot and Great River exits are the nearest reference points.

Standard hydraulic and industrial work is usually finished at the counter, and customers regularly leave inside twenty minutes.
Nassau, Queens and the western boroughs are usually better served by the Hempstead shop. Accounts, stocking levels and held inventory work across both.

Regularly, and it is the thing this shop sees more of than Hempstead does. Hydraulic steering assemblies, USCG rated fuel hose, exhaust and fill, and stainless fittings and clamps for the environment. Bring the old hose so the marking can be read, because on a boat that marking is the specification.
The failed assembly with both ends still attached if you can get it off. That gives us the thread standard, the seat angle, the orientation and the length in seconds. A photo of how it routed before removal helps. If the part cannot come off, bring the equipment details and clear photos of both ports.
No. Walk-in counter, work goes in the order it arrives, and most assemblies are finished while you wait. Call ahead only if the job is unusual or very large bore, or if you are coming from the east end, where a two minute call is worth it before a long drive.
Customers come in from across Suffolk including the forks, though from the Hamptons side it is a real run. If you are out that way regularly, it is worth talking about held stock and spare sets, because a spare on your own shelf beats the drive every time.
