Hose services on Long Island
Every hose service listed here happens on site at both Long Island shops. Fabrication, crimping, repair and OEM replacement are counter work, not something sent out and returned next week. Bring in the failed assembly or the specs, and in most cases you leave with the finished hose the same visit.

What a counter with sixty years behind it can build
Moreland has been fabricating hose on Long Island since 1964, and the range of what walks through the door has only widened. Hydraulic lines off excavators and vacuum trucks, industrial suction and discharge for plants and municipalities, marine fuel and steering for the south shore, and automotive work nobody else will touch because the part was discontinued twenty years ago.
The common thread is that almost none of it is a catalog item. That is the point of a fabrication counter. If it can be measured, matched or specified, it can be built here, and the person building it is certified in hydraulic hose assembly like everyone else in the shop.

Four steps, usually one visit
No quoting process, no purchase order, no waiting on a distributor. The counter is the whole workflow.
The failed assembly with the fittings still attached is the most useful thing you can carry through the door. If you cannot get there, call and describe the machine.
Thread type, seat angle, working pressure, length and what runs through it. If the layline is worn off, the machine and the circuit tell us enough to size it correctly.
Cut to length, fittings oriented, crimped on calibrated equipment matched to the fitting. Original ends get reused where they are sound.
Assemblies are checked before they go out the door, because a line that fails in the field comes straight back to this counter and everybody loses.

The equipment that comes through the door
Different industries fail in different ways, and the right hose is decided by the application rather than the catalog. These are the jobs the counter sees most.
Vacuum trucks, roll-offs, pump trucks and service vehicles. Hydraulic lines, air brake, fuel transfer and A/C work for shops running mixed fleets across different manufacturers and model years.
Excavators, loaders, lifts and compaction equipment. High pressure hydraulic assemblies and the adapters needed to connect components that were never designed to work together.
USCG approved fuel hose, marina fuel dispensing, hydraulic steering, exhaust and fuel fill. Common work out of the Oakdale counter for the south shore.
Suction and discharge, chemical transfer, steam and ducting hose, plus the fittings and clamps that go with them. Liner and reinforcement chosen for the medium, not just the diameter.
Brake, clutch, fuel and power steering lines, air conditioning hose and braided stainless with AN fittings. Discontinued and obsolete configurations built from the original part.
Wash hose, sewer jet, guns, nozzles and quick disconnects. Consumables that get replaced on a schedule rather than after a failure.
Before You Call
Common questions
Most standard hydraulic and industrial assemblies are finished at the counter while you wait, often inside twenty minutes. Larger diameters, unusual fittings or anything that has to be brought in will take longer, and we tell you that before you commit to waiting.
Yes. We crimp on your hose or on hose off our shelf. What matters is that the fitting, the hose and the crimp specification match, which is why the counter asks about working pressure and thread type before anything gets cut.
Bring the failed assembly with the fittings still attached and we work backwards from it. If you cannot get the old part off, tell us the machine, the circuit and roughly what runs through the line and we can size it from there.
Same day is the normal expectation rather than a special service. Equipment sitting idle is the reason most people walk through the door, so down machines are handled as counter work at both shops six days a week.
Yes, and it is some of the most common work here. Discontinued brake tubes, forty year old air conditioning lines and steering hoses for engine swaps all get rebuilt from the original part, with the sound ends reused where possible.
We do, and hundreds of Moreland crimping machines are already running in customer shops across the metro area. Depending on purchase volume a shop may qualify for discounted or free equipment, and we run on-site training covering assembly, safe machine use and hose selection.
