Moreland Hose and Belting Corp. has been building custom hose assemblies on Long Island since 1964. Two walk-in shops, one in Hempstead and one in Oakdale, where you bring in a broken hose and leave with an exact replacement, usually in minutes.
Moreland hose has been fabricating hoses for K&M TRUCK REPAIR for more than 24 years. They are efficient, cost effective and quick. We would not be able to service our customers trucks without the hoses made at Moreland hose.

Built on one idea since 1964
Joseph A. Delmore came up in the Brooklyn hose and rubber trade through the 1940s and 1950s. In 1964 he opened his own shop in Hempstead with 5,000 square feet and one idea: build the exact hose the customer needs, while they wait.
Six decades later that has not changed. What has changed is the size of the operation behind it. Two shops now cover Nassau and Suffolk, the shelves hold over 100,000 feet of hose and tens of thousands of fittings, and the crimping machines run all day. Contractors, fleet operators, marinas, municipalities and repair shops across Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn, the Bronx and Manhattan work with us because the answer is almost never "we can order that."
Most of what comes across the counter is not a catalog part. It is a hose that failed on a job site, an assembly with obsolete couplings, a fitting nobody stocks anymore, a length that does not exist off the shelf. That is the work. Bring in the old one and we match it, or bring in the specs and we build it. Custom hose fabrication and hydraulic hose crimping both happen on site, while you wait, at either shop.
When a truck is down and the clock is running, that turnaround is the whole point. Emergency hose repair is a normal Tuesday here, not a special service we advertise.
The Long Version
Six decades on Long Island
1964
Joseph A. Delmore opens Moreland Hose and BeltingA 5,000 square foot shop in Hempstead, New York, started by a man who had spent the previous two decades in the Brooklyn hose and rubber industry. The business found its footing quickly across Long Island and the five boroughs.
1988
The Oakdale shop opensA second walk-in location on Sunrise Highway, put there to cover Suffolk County properly rather than ask customers on the east end to drive to Nassau. Today it runs roughly 15,000 square feet.
The 1990s
Hempstead moves to 135 Adams AveThe Nassau shop settles into its current home, roughly 10,000 square feet just off Peninsula Boulevard, close to the Meadowbrook Parkway and reachable from Queens, Brooklyn and most of Nassau in well under half an hour.

Two shops, one counter cultureBoth shops stock deep, both fabricate on site, and both are staffed by people who have spent years behind the counter before they ever sold anything. The Saturday morning hours were added because fleet work does not stop on Friday afternoon.

Depth is the reason people stop calling around. Below is what actually sits on the shelves and what the machines in the back can handle.
High pressure work is the backbone of the shop. Vacuum trucks, excavators, pump systems, lifts, log splitters and shop presses all come through the door with a line that let go, and most of them leave inside the hour.

Discontinued OEM parts are a specialty rather than a problem. Bring in the old assembly and it gets matched, including forty year old air conditioning lines, brake tubes the manufacturer stopped making, and power steering hoses for engine swaps that no catalog covers.

Two walk-in shops on Long Island
Hempstead, Nassau County
The original operation and the larger of the two counters by volume. Roughly 10,000 square feet just off Peninsula Boulevard, close to the Meadowbrook Parkway and the Southern State. Fleet operators out of Jamaica and the JFK area are usually here in under 25 minutes.
Hempstead location
Oakdale, Suffolk County
Roughly 15,000 square feet on Sunrise Highway, opened so Suffolk customers stopped having to drive west for a hose. Same stock depth, same crimping capability, same while-you-wait fabrication. Handy for the marinas and boatyards along the south shore.

How we work with fleets and manufacturers
Walk-in counter work is only half of it. For customers running equipment fleets or production lines, the relationship usually goes further than a transaction at the register.
We work with OEMs to build custom kits containing labeled hoses and fittings, packaged the way the line needs them. It cuts operational expense and it cuts the confusion of a technician picking the wrong part off a shelf mid-build. Kits are specified together, then produced on a schedule that matches production.
Hundreds of Moreland crimping machines are running in customer shops across the metro area. For those accounts, our salespeople manage the inventory that feeds them, so the hose and fittings you need are on your own shelf when a machine goes down at 6am.
Stocking levels are set per customer based on the equipment they run and the size of their fleet, then held to. Depending on purchase volume, a shop may qualify for discounted or free crimping equipment. Ask about it rather than assuming.
Some customers depend on items we would not normally stock. If there is an ongoing need for a critical part, we will carry it for you. It sits on our shelf instead of tying up your budget, and it is twenty minutes away instead of two weeks out on backorder.
Our salespeople schedule on-site training covering hose assembly, safe use of crimping equipment, how to select the correct hose for an application, and chemical compatibility. Every one of them spent years working our counter first, so the training comes from people who have built the assemblies rather than read about them.
