Contact Moreland Hose

Two walk-in shops on Long Island, one in Hempstead and one in Oakdale. If a truck is down, call. You will get a person who can tell you in under a minute whether we have what you need and how fast we can build it.

Fastest Route

Three ways to reach us

Which one you pick depends on how much of a hurry you are in and whether you have the old part in your hand.

Call the counter

Best when equipment is down and you need an answer now. Have the pressure rating, thread type and length ready if you know them. If you do not, describe the machine and we will work it out from there.

Walk in with the old hose

Always the fastest path to an exact match. Bring the failed assembly, fittings and all, and most replacements are crimped and tested at the counter while you wait. No appointment and no order to place.

Custom hose fabrication

Send the specs and a photo

Right choice when it is not urgent or the part is unusual. Send a photo of the broken assembly with a tape measure next to it and we can identify most things from the picture alone.

Before You Drive Over

What to bring with you

None of this is required. It just shortens the visit, and on a day when a truck is sitting idle that difference matters.

The failed assembly, fittings still attached

The single most useful thing you can carry through the door. Ends tell us thread type, seat angle and orientation faster than any description over the phone, and in many cases the original ends get reused on the new hose.

A photo of how it was routed

A hose that measures correctly can still be wrong if the bend and clocking are off. A phone photo taken before removal saves a second trip, particularly on tight hydraulic runs and A/C lines.

The working pressure, if you have it

Printed on the hose layline in most cases. It decides reinforcement, from single wire braid up to six wire. If the layline is worn off, tell us the machine and the circuit and we will size it from there.

What runs through it

Hydraulic oil, fuel, coolant, air, steam, a chemical or seawater. Material compatibility matters more than diameter on industrial and marine work, and the wrong liner fails early even at the correct pressure.

Overall length, end to end

Measured across the fittings rather than the rubber alone. If you are working from the old hose we will take the measurement for you at the counter.

Your account name, for fleet customers

If your shop runs an account with us, say so when you arrive and it goes straight on the invoice. If you would like to set one up, ask at the counter or mention it on the form below.

Send A Message

Tell us what you need

Give us the machine, the application and the length, and we will come back with what we would build and how quickly we can have it ready.

If a truck is down right now, do not use the form. Call the shop instead and we will pick up. The form is for quotes, fleet accounts, larger orders, crimping equipment enquiries and anything that can wait until the next business day.

Before You Call

Common questions

No. Both shops are walk-in counters. Come in during business hours with the part or the specs and we will handle it in the order people arrive. Mornings are usually the quietest stretch of the day at Hempstead.
