Disconnects
Hydraulic Quick Disconnects offer a fast and efficient solution for connecting and disconnecting hydraulic lines without the need for tools. Available in a diverse range of sizes, styles, and materials to suit various applications, our extensive inventory of quick disconnects and hydraulic fittings ensures that you find the perfect match for your specific needs. From flat-face couplers to adapters, elbows, and tees, we stock the hydraulic fittings required to complete your hydraulic system connections. Below is a showcase of some of our most sought-after styles, demonstrating the versatility and quality of our collection.
What Are Hydraulic Quick Disconnect Couplings?
A hydraulic quick disconnect coupling, also called a quick-release coupling or quick-connect fitting, lets you connect and disconnect hydraulic lines without tools and without draining the system first. That matters on job sites where time is money, and you’re swapping attachments, routing fluid to different circuits, or isolating a section of the system for service.
These fittings come in two halves: a male plug and a female coupler. When joined, they create a leak-free seal under pressure. When disconnected, internal valves close automatically on both sides, so you lose minimal fluid and keep contamination out of the lines. That’s why they’re standard on vacuum trucks, excavators, skid steers, pump systems, and just about any piece of equipment with interchangeable hydraulic attachments.
Complete Your Hydraulic System at Moreland Hose
Quick disconnect couplings don’t work in isolation. They connect to hose assemblies, fittings, and adapters that all have to be spec’d correctly together. We carry the full picture, so if you come in needing a coupling and realize the hose end needs replacing too, we can handle both while you’re here.
Our hydraulic fittings and adapters inventory covers the connective hardware that works alongside quick disconnects, thread adapters, port fittings, reducers, and more. And if the hose itself needs to be re-terminated or rebuilt, our hydraulic hose crimping service handles that on-site while you wait.
Bring the whole assembly in. We’ll look at everything and tell you exactly what’s needed.
FAQ
Most frequent questions and answers
Sometimes, but it depends on the series. Many manufacturers build to ISO or SAE standards, which means plugs and couplers from different brands in the same series will mate correctly. But not all couplings are cross-compatible, even if they look similar. Bring in both halves, and we’ll verify compatibility before you put it back in service.
Yes. We carry flat-face couplings rated for high-pressure hydraulic circuits, including systems running at 5,000 PSI and above. High-pressure applications require couplings with a higher safety margin and a face seal design to prevent drip loss at disconnect. Tell us your system pressure and we’ll pull the right product.
That’s a common situation with equipment that’s 10 or 15 years old. Bring in the coupling, and we’ll identify the series, thread type, and body size by hand. We see this regularly with fleet operators running mixed equipment; it’s faster than tracing the part number through a manufacturer that may have discontinued it. We’re in Hempstead and easy to reach from anywhere in Nassau County or Queens.
If we have it on the shelf, you walk out with it. There’s no lead time on stocked items. Call ahead with your specs and we’ll confirm availability before you make the drive. If we need to pair a coupling with a new hose assembly or crimp a new end, we’ll do that while you wait.
